How the hell do I change the back of my page to put a picture in the background?

You either have to know html or just do a google search for one of the many myspace layout generators out there. With the typical myspace layout generator you can design your own background, alter your fonts, alter your backgrounds, etc. There should be an option to use an image as your background...you will have to provide the image or link to it, just like posting an image on a message board. The generator will spit back html code which you can then copy and paste into your "about me" box when you edit your profile on myspace.

Who knows, maybe someday myspace will actually catch up with the rest of the world and hire some programmers who can create a user-friendly interface for altering your layout [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img] [img]wink.gif[/img]

If you go to "edit profile" you'll see that your page is a cascading style sheet.

My background portion of the style sheet is as follows:

body{background-image:url("http://baimun.home.comcast.net/prs.gif");
background-attachment:fixed;;
background-repeat: repeat;;
background-position:center;;
background-color:1B2B67;}
table, tr, td{background-color:transparent;;
border:0px;;
padding:2;}

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The background color I picked is the same color that's in the image... so the color pops up immediately, then the text... then the image fills in behind the text, but the page never looks too whacky.


The best thing to do is to grab a free profile online that you like, and then edit the images to ones that work for you.

My friend John used a pre-made format for his page and I customized the background image so it would match his guitar and tile seamlessly.

i have used a couple of different ones... i wish i could tell you which ones but since this stupid fucking place blocks it i can't, sorry. mine is quite busy looking right now [img]wink.gif[/img] but mine also has links to where i got my layout from. but then again i can't send you the link to my page...
